XAT 2020 Entrance Section Wise Pattern & Marking Scheme

XAT 2020 exam holds four sectional (subject wise) divisions such as Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and General Knowledge. The duration of the exam is 180 minutes and the number of questions are 100 in total. The questions are MCQ type with 4 options for each question and +1 mark for every correct answer and – 0.25 mark for every incorrect answer. No negative marking is there in the GK section. It is important to note that 0.5 marks will be deducted for more than eight unanswered questions.


XAT 2020 Exam Pattern

Here we are providing the XAT 2020 exam pattern in details:

XAT Total Questions: 100
XAT Exam Pattern for MCQ: Each MCQ is followed by 4 answer options
XAT Scoring Pattern: +1 mark for each correct answer
XAT negative marking: 0.25 for all sections except GK
XAT Test Paper Submission: Candidates are allowed to submit test papers after 30 minutes of the commencement of the test
XAT Exam Percentile Calculation: Only 3 sections in the XAT exam are taken into account to calculate the XAT percentile score and XAT merit list for the written exam. GK will not be counted for percentile calculation in the XAT exam pattern.
No Sectional Time Limit: XAT 2020 does not have sectional time limits to solve the question paper.
