Introduction

Mount Carmel College, Bangalore is a premier women's college in Vasanth Nagar of Bangalore, Karnataka, India that was established on 7 July 1948. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college is 'A+' accredited by NAAC and was awarded Five Stars by NAAC.[citation needed] The college is affiliated to Bangalore University but functions as autonomous institution. MCC Bangalore is a member of 29 clubs and associations that conduct several events and competitions across the year. In 2008 it was ranked by India Today as one of the top three colleges in Karnataka in the fields of arts, science and commerce.

College is considered among top womens colleges in Bangalore.

The faculty members are very friendly, the minimum attendance is 75% while in colleges like Christ have 85% as the minimum attendance, there's no strict dress code you are just expected to dress modestly. Since it's in Vasanth Nagar it's close to various youth favourable destinations like Church Street, Malleswaram, Cunningham road, Brigade road,etc . MCC give a lot of importance to extra curricular activities and strongly believe that there's more to life than just academics.

Mount Carmel is a culturally diverse place with around 100 different associations like Western Dance Association, Indian Music Association, Debsoc(or Debate Society) , etc where you get to meet people with the same interests as you. There's nothing called a “Normal Day” at MCC i.e there's some or the other fest happening and they have some of the best food trucks in the city stopping by during fests.

College keeps hosting many small inter-college and intra-college fests, it's Cul Ah which is the best among all fests. The preparation for the fest is amazing and of course the final day leaves everyone in awe and amazement. Cul Ah is an inter college fest and various colleges across the country come and participate in the events. The nightlife during Cul Ah is unimaginable, college also gets some amazing people perform for the fests. Celebrities and notable industry experts people come to MCC very often to deliver special lectures & other cultural activities.

Infrastructure, campus, canteen, facilities, class rooms facilities at Mount Carmel  is best in town.

There's a salon inside campus ( which is not common among top colleges).

MCC can be considered as one of the the best college for girls.
