XAT 2020 Entrance Exam Detailed Syllabus
XAT 2020 registration process has started on August 23, 2019, and it will conclude on November 30, 2019. XAT 2020 exam holds 4 sections such as Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Analysis, and Data Interpretation, General Knowledge, etc. There are some important changes in the XAT 2020 exam syllabus as it was reduced to 4 sections/subjects instead of 5. No subjective questions on Essay Writing are present in the XAT 2020 syllabus.

1. Verbal and Logical Ability: There will be a total of 26 questions each carrying 1 mark. This section also has a negative marking of ¼ marks for each incorrect answer.
2. Decision Making: This section will contain 22 questions with the same general rules as above.
3. Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation: This section will contain 27 questions in all with negative marking.
4. General Knowledge: This section will carry 25 questions but with no negative marking.
The topics covered on Verbal Ability are English vocabulary based questions – fill in the blanks with correct words; synonyms/antonyms; contextual usage on vocabulary words. Topics covered under General Knowledge are awards and winners, business and politics, Government and economy, History and Geography, Constitution of India, world events, static GK, current affairs, etc.
