1. Common Admission Test (CAT)

CAT is considered as biggest MBA Entrance Exam in India. CAT exam is conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) every year. Through CAT scores one can apply for admission in more than 20 IIMs and over 200 Best MBA colleges. More than 02 lakh candidates appear for the CAT exam every year.

This year CAT was conducted on Sunday, 25 November 2018. Result of CAT 2018 will be declared on January 10, 2019 and MBA admission selection process for Top MBA Colleges will be starts from January 11, 2019.

CAT exam was first started in the year 1950 in pen-paper mode. However from 2009, CAT is being conducted online. The CAT exam consists of 03 sections – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning.

2. Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT)

After CAT exam, CMAT is the second largest entrance examination for MBA admission in India. More than, 1.5 lakh candidates appear every year for the CMAT entrance exam. Until last year, CMAT exam was held by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), however, from this year onwards, National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting it.

For MBA admission session 2019, CMAT Exam will be conducted on January 28, 2019. Results are expected to be declared by February 10, 2019.

CMAT exam first took place in 2012 and over time, it has become one of the most popular MBA entrance exams of the country. The score of CMAT national level entrance exam is accepted by more than 500 MBA institutes approved by AICTE.

3. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)

XLRI - One of the oldest schools of business management in India, founded in 1949 conducts XAT exam at the national level for admission to various MBA programs for its 11 member institutions and 150 other MBA institutions across India.

XAT entrance test is generally held on the first Sunday of the year (January). From the year 2018 onward, XAT is conducted on online mode.

Many Top MBA colleges in India such as Acharya Institute of Management & Sciences, BIMTECH, Christ University, CMS B-School Jain University, Goa Institute of Management, Great Lakes Institute of Management, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research to name a few accepts XAT exam scores.

4. Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP)

SNAP is a national level entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International University. SNAP scores are mainly used for admission to 15 institutes under Symbiosis International University. However, there are many other Top private MBA colleges which use SNAP scores for admission process.

SNAP entrance exam is usually conducted in the month of December. SNAP test is a computer-based exam.

5. NMAT by GMAC

The NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is one of the important MBA entrance exams. This exam was acquired by GMAC and rebranded as NMAT by GMAC.
NMAT scores for are accepted for admission process by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Alliance University, SRM University, BML Munjal University, and other Top ranked B-Schools in India.

NMAT is a computer-based test which held more than once a year. NMAT entrance exam is conducted in a 75-day testing window, usually between October and December. Candidates need to attempt 120 MCQs in 120 minutes.
